Iron Sky initial review

I saw this last night at Gold Coast Film festival. This film is irreverent and amusing. It makes reference to, among other films- Downfall (yes that scene), Dr Strangelove and Crocodile Dundee (twice). There is a shot of Brisbane you should recognise. The Germans are not all bad, the Amercains are not all good and the Australians are pretending to be American.

The film is funny. Some have criticised the political humour as being childish or something. Well this is a film about moon nazis. But as a non American you will find it funny. Some Americans may see the fuuny side, but I suspect they will not be the sort who vote republican. Who cares about them. This film was not made by Americans and so is delightfully free of respect for the Americans. I laughed a lot. I liked some of the subtle historical bits they slipped in. It looks so cool you forget it cost so little to make. This is a film that we, the little internet people helped finance and make.
