The whole, invaded by North Korea is just absurd. Although I think the film looks entertaining enough.

They’d have been better to have done like those books and film which are in no way similar, Tomorrow When The War Begins, and just had an unidentified Asian army.

They should have left the original alone. Couldn’t they have simply named it something else and not copied. Tommorow When The War Began was great and while sharing the base idea, didn’t piggy-back. Fuck!

It’s the same old story-line, the old being invaded and a handful of local heroes save the day. However it looks like it would be a good action movie no less. I am still keen to see it.

The original Red Dawn was awesome, full of the Hollywood Bratpack MkII- Patrick Swayze, Charlie Sheen, C. Thomas Howell Jennifer Grey, etc it was like someone mashed up the Outsiders with Dirty Dancing or something… and the bad guys were Cuban.
That and Young Guns were the movies I used to watch when I thought no one around.

I was living in the states when Red Dawn came out. Went down to my local toy shop and bought a plastic AK-47. I tried carving my name in it but it cracked.
